Unity Advertiser Public API: what changed in September 2026
The Advertiser Public API replaced /advertise/v1 in September 2026. New base URL, UUID app ids, microdollars and renamed fields, plus a migration order.

Unity Ads allows 1 creative per second and 30 per 30 minutes to each app. Each creative in a batch counts. Here is the math for a big launch.

Unity’s docs set two upload limits per app: 1 creative per second and 30 creatives every 30 minutes. They apply to the dashboard and to the Advertiser Public API, and every creative in a batch counts. For a large batch, the 30-per-30-minutes cap is the one that binds (arithmetic below).
According to Unity’s Upload creatives page, Unity limits how many creatives you can upload to each app in a given time period. The page gives two limits:
| Limit | Value | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Rate | 1 creative per second | each app |
| Volume | 30 creatives every 30 minutes | each app |
Unity states that these limits apply to the User Acquisition Dashboard and to the Advertiser Public API. Unity’s What’s new in User Acquisition page lists the same limits under October 2026.
If you reach a limit, the Upload creatives page says to wait until the time period resets before you upload more creatives to that app.
Selecting many files at once does not get you a discount. Each creative counts toward the limits even when you upload several at the same time. Unity’s own example: if you select 10 creatives and upload them together, the upload counts as 10 of the 30 creatives you can upload in that 30-minute period.
So a batch of 10 and ten single uploads use the same part of the quota. Whether a batch of 10 sent at once also counts against the 1-per-second limit is not documented. Our reading: space your uploads by at least a second.
The numbers in this section are arithmetic from the stated limits, not a Unity statement.
The 1-per-second limit alone would allow 30 creatives in 30 seconds. The 30-per-30-minutes cap is far tighter, so for any batch larger than 30 the second limit is the one that decides your pace. The first limit only matters if you send faster than a creative per second.
Minimum number of 30-minute periods for a batch into one app:
| Creatives into one app | Periods needed | Time in periods |
|---|---|---|
| 30 | 1 | 30 min |
| 60 | 2 | 1 h |
| 120 | 4 | 2 h |
| 300 | 10 | 5 h |
The last column is the number of periods times 30 minutes. How the period resets is not documented (see below), so treat it as a planning figure, not a promise.
Two more points follow from the wording “to each app”.
A worked example, under the same per-app reading. You plan a launch with 25 creatives for each of 4 apps and want a second set of 25 for each app the same day. The first set is 25 of 30 in each app, so it fits in one period. The second set would make 50 in an app, which is over 30, so at least 20 of those uploads have to wait for the next period. Whether Unity accepts the first 5 of that set is not documented. Four apps do not add up here, because each app has its own count.
If you want to avoid hitting the cap at all, send one creative every minute or slightly slower. That stays at or under 30 per 30 minutes whether the period is fixed or rolling. The price is time: 120 creatives still take about two hours.
The Upload creatives page leaves out several things you will want to know when you build a script or plan a launch:
In DarkCore Ramet a video uploaded once goes to every app that needs it (creatives), and bulk launch sends campaigns through a queue at the pace Unity allows. The docs we read do not describe how any tool should handle the creative upload limit, so check your batch sizes against the numbers above.
If you manage many campaigns, see our article on bulk campaign management in Unity Ads for the other ways Unity lets you create and edit them in bulk.
